Power Powell Rankings Week Nine: Blue Suede Shoes Stay Crispy Like Bacon

I'm not going to lie to you faithful readers I don't really have a lot of time this week to write up a huge post so this is a kind of spiritual sequel to this post from last season.

I've spent the last week marathoning Bond movies to get Sara up to date for Spectre when it comes out tomorrow. We're currently at the midpoint of Pierce Brosnan, so the end is in sight but it'll be tight.

Alright, Alright here's what you all came for:

LET IT BEGIN!!!

1. Oh That's Nasty (Last week 1)- There's blood in the water with Dawson's team having a season ending injury and a fire sale this week. If I know Dawson's trade prowess he'll have a back up plan ready to stay competitive.

2. NFL OWNER (Last week 2)- Shayne's team put's up the wins each week and seems to still be flying under the radar. Even on an awful week for his hometown Packers Shayne got it done.

3. NINERS (Last week 4)- Stan's moved up to the bronze spot. I have a feeling that his team is going to get blazing hot coming up to the playoffs if CJ Anderson becomes a factor again.

4. Scraps (Last week 6)- This is pretty much the story of the league this year. The way I look at it, even the expansion teams had a couple good players going into the draft, but Mike's made this season work based on sheer will and time consumption. He took Joique Bell so soon in the draft. Good show.
5. The Fear Boners (Last week 10)- I had to swallow my pride and trade back for Brady. Alright, I went bananas for the wrong teams at the beginning of the season I'll admit it. Luckily for me I've been saved by my keepers and the Denver defence. Hopefully, reinfecting Brady will push me over the hill.
6. You can run but you can't Hyde (Last week 3)- Steve's dropping right now, but it's mostly due to bye week blues. If Chip Kelly cooked up a running game over the bye he'll be back in the fold this week.

7. My Ball Zack Ertz (Last week 5)- Aaron drops a little due to the injury woes at running back, although with the trade we made this week I think it may improve his team exponentially (Charles Sims is not a long term solution). He also has a strong WR corp going into next season if he chooses to keep Robinson, Hilton and Nelson. Oh baby baby.
8. The Darkwing Ducks (Last week 9)- Clarke pulled of two massive trades this weekend and I have to take back my earlier statement that he may win a championship next year. This is because with his roster now he may have enough power to win one in his inaugural season. Colour me impressed.
9. The Keith-glorius Basterds (Last week 11)- Keith broke his losing skid and Lacy has begun to show signs of life. With Big Ben back to feed Brown a quarter season rain cheque of fantasy production, don't be surprised if Keith explodes up the standings soon.

10. Honey Badger Don't Care (Last week 7)- Andrew's team is having a rough time. If the Seahawks can put together a plan to use Graham consistently Andrew may be able to threaten for a final playoff spot. Don't count him out yet.
11. Layeth The Smacketh Down (Last week 8)- Curt's team is in kind of a purgatory right now. They're about average each week and sometimes this results in a win and sometimes there's a loss. With Keenan Allen's injury it's going to be a tough climb to make the playoffs, but there's still a chance.

12. No Punt Intended (Last week 12)- Travis has been looking at building up his keeper roster for next year and I think that's prudent. He sold the farm for Jamaal Charles, but if he come's back the way he did last time it will be a good investment.

There you have it fellas,

-The Commish
