Power Powell Rankings Week 4: There's Layer's To My Shit Player, Tiramisu
Three weeks in and there is still no definitive good or bad teams. I mean Dawson is head and shoulders above the rest of the teams in the league based on how he's put his team together, but he had to sacrifice depth to put together a bulletproof starting lineup. The two 0-3 teams have higher total points scored then the two 1-2 expansion teams. The 2-1 teams don't have anything to separate themselves from one another, other then the luck of how a game turns out for the players. It's been a season that's hard to quantify so far.
The memory that has been fresh in my mind this week is how crappy Eddy Lacy looked three weeks into last season. People were jumping ship and calling him a flash in the pan. Then he turned it around and all the pre-season analysts agreed that if you want consistency at RB you take Lacy or Charles. It makes me wonder which of the players slumping right now will turn it around and which ones will come out of nowhere to take a team from zero to hero. Karlos Williams has already changed two teams fates this season and some of the "one sided trades" from two weeks ago are actually evening themselves out, Fitzgerald is only 32 remember.
We're not even a quarter of the way in and that's exciting, let's see who rose to the occasion this week and who dropped down the ladder:
LET IT BEGIN!!
1. Oh That's Nasty (Last week 1)- Dawson is the cream of the crop. His team performed last week the way I thought it might after his series of trades. No other team in the league was even close in points scored and this week Luck has a Jacksonville defence that is rotting with injuries. It'll take an uptake in scoring from Shayne's RB core to hand Dawson his first loss.

No other team in the league was even close in points scored and this week Luck has a Jacksonville defence that is rotting with injuries. It'll take an uptake in scoring from Shayne's RB core to hand Dawson his first loss.
2. NFL OWNER (Last week 4)- Unfortunately, that means that after this weekend only one team will be undefeated. Shayne's team is struggling mostly due to Forsett and Hill's underproduction. His team is undefeated though because the bones of his team have never been stronger. Rodgers, Gronk and James "old balls" Jones give him advantages every week. If his RBs step up he'll be a shoe in for the playoffs.
3. The Fear Boners (Last week 6)- Who knew all I needed to do to put up more points was to bench my Eagles players? As Keith and Mike have eluded to last week, my heart has started straying from the NOLA and Phili down to the Mecca of country music. We'll see if this trust can give me a personal "Music City Miracle" for the rest of the season.
4. Clipboard Jesus (Last week 4)- The injury bug has caught up to Andrew's team. Between Lynch and the preseason loss of Benjamin, Drew's been forced to play some risky heart picks this week. I like that feeling of sending out a guy you feel good about, other owner's doubt and they prove them all wrong!
5. NINERS (Last week 5)- Stan's team was lacking clarity at the end of the weekend, but after the trade with Aaron I like the potential for his team going forward. He has a diverse group of RBs and WRs to choose from and in my opinion has the most solid team going forward.
6. You can run but you can't Hyde (Last week 3)- Steve's team had a down week is all I think. If Big Ben had not been injured it would have been a lot closer, but it wasn't in the cards. Alex Smith has an interesting matchup against Cincinnati and now he can throw to WRs, maybe Maclin get's a Steve Smith Sr like week?
7. The Keith-glorius Basterds (Last week 9)- The first win is always the hardest and now that Keith has one it may be time for a streak. Of all the teams in TFLOEG, Keith's is the hardest to stay on top of in regards to injuries. Once his team gets healthy he'll have a top tier starting lineup week to week.
8. My Ball Zack Ertz (Last week 10)- Aaron's team got they're first win this week as well. He's growing up so fast. He also made a solid trade with Stan, that benefited his team and helped out Stan. A fair trade, my socialist eyes are glistening with pride! I know not everybody is on board with Gore, but once Foster is cleared to play his lineup could look like: Brady, Foster, Gore, Mathews, Hilton, Kelce, Robinson and Watt; ooh la and la!
9. No Punt Intended (Last week 8)- Travis moves ahead in the expansion team jostle for position in the ranks. I like the bones to his team Abdullah, Olsen, Eifert and Gostkowski; heck I'm even coming around on Tyrod Taylor.
10. Las Vegas Posse (Last week 7)- Clarke's team continues inaugural season woes. It's not easy to pull together a team from the draft and waivers in a keeper league, but he's remained committed and fervent about building a team to compete next year. That's an awesome attitude and with the pieces he's collected only three weeks in I think it's doable.
11. Scraps (Last week 12)- Ever since Mike won the second championship of TFLOEG, he's seemed like a slug in the league. But, this year he's a man possessed! It's jarring and quite frankly with the Titans on a bye I think he has a great shot to pull an upset in the Boner Bowl.
12. Layeth The Smacketh Down (Last week 11)- Curt's team has a lot of great pieces, but it's hard to know which ones to plug in each week. I've heard rumours of mutually beneficial fair trade agreements in his future and that's enough to put a little fear in my fear boner. Don't call it a comeback!
Until next week!
