Power Powell Rankings: Week 15- There's Always Next Year

There were two "upsets" in the first week of the playoff schedule in TFLOEG and I must start of by congratulating both Stan and Dawson for moving one step closer to a title! However, I must also state that I don't believe there is such a thing as an upset with the teams that entered the playoffs this year. Each team had a good chance to succeed, and I'm personally very excited with the idea of this year's TFLOEG title going to a brand new team. As Keith can attest the first title you get is a huge load of your mind when it comes to the stresses that come with fantasy football. So best of luck to all of you this week and I will not name another fantasy champ prediction publicly as it seems to be a kiss of death (although I have someone in mind).

That all being said, I take no solace in seeing my team go from last to middle of the pack. Worst to first was the goal, but at least I was able to pull off some trades to help solidify my keeper future going into next year. Not a total loss, but I'm disappointed.

Keith's team had all the makings of a team that should have won. It was constructed wisely and players were rising at just the right time. It just wasn't in the cards.

It goes to show you that you can construct a team to the best of your ability, but you can never fully know what effect match-ups will have on players on a particular week.

Let it begin...

1. NFL OWNER (Last week 2): Shayne's team is coming in ready to go and looks to be the favourite.

2. Sideliners (Last week 3) : Steve's team is also looking swell, but hopefully Charles is feeling healthy or things could go sour!

3. NINERS (Last week 4): Stan's QB strength is known, however his consistency at WR and RB is what's going to keep him in the conversation.

4. Oh That's Nasty (Last week 6): Dawson put up the high score!

  1. My team was good on paper, but in reality it had some pretty big flaws as I explained in Last Place Wisdom this week. I don't think the flaw was with my strategy, more so the fact that I missed on most of my breakout targets for the year.

Where you and I are at, anything less than a championship has to be disappointing, but after last season's disaster your team really turned it around.
