Last Place Wisdom: Saints vs Seahawks is the real matchup most of the league is caring about.

Although real Thanksgiving took place in October, fantasy thanksgiving means multiple football games on a Thursday when it's tough for us in Canada to watch them. There are surprisingly few Thanksgiving jokes in Arrested Development, but there are certainly a few teams looking for Thanksgiving miracles to help them out in their playoff chase.

I totally forgot about this joke, until I did a something search

The last game of the Fantasy regular season doesn't have a lot of fantasy playoff implications, but it has enough to keep it interesting for the league as a whole.

Aaron, after clawing his way back into playoff consideration, crapped the bed last week against Steve. -0.6 points from Stevan Ridley was a killer, as Aaron's turn around was in part due to Ridley becoming a startable RB again in the later part of the season. Unfortunately for him, Ridley seems almost unstartable for me the rest of the season, as you never know when he might fumble, or when Belicheck will completely go away from using him.

Dawson took advantage to get himself back into contention, posting a decent win against Mike. That sets up 2 huge games for both teams this week. Aaron holds a 56 point lead on Dawson for the tiebreaker, so Dawson either needs to have a huge game, or hope that he can win while Aaron loses. Aaron has the much easier matchup against Curtis, especially if Moreno is dealing with a foot injury. Dawson has a tougher matchup against Shayne, although Shayne's team is struggling in recent weeks, and he doesn't have Rodgers going again. It's too tough for me to predict anything at this point.

While I feel pretty confident about holding onto 1st spot, this is a much bigger game for Andrew, who holds a 1 game-16 point lead on Stan for the 2nd spot. It is still a 3 way battle for the 3rd spot, which will likely go to the winner of Stan and Steve's matchup, although Shayne still has a chance if he wins big, and gets a smaller win from Steve.

Everyone else is just playing for pride. I'm sure John would like to win the Boner Bowl rematch, while Curtis and Mike would love a chance at finishing ahead of John in the regular season at least.

On the Next Last Place Wisdom:
  • Despite my team not having to play, I will be back next week with a full breakdown of the 2 playoff matchups, as well as a quicker look at the consolation games.
