The Reading Dwayne-Bowes : Chapter One

Chapter One : Week One

Week one has now come and gone and things weren't looking good for the WhiteKnucklers at half time of the Thursday night game. Julius Thomas came out of no where to post up two touchdowns to put the WhiteKnucklers in an early hole. The teams owner was cursing the name Thomas at half-time but singing praises to the name Demaryius "Only Winners Get Wings" Thomas by the time the final whistle was blown. He was able to sleep well that night after a tumultuous start.

Two days to spend searching for a fantasy fix after the initial rush of Thursday night was too long. Sunday morning could not come soon enough.

After the early games, the WhiteKnucklers had built a small but not maintainable lead. With solid early performances by Forte and Cameron, they were able to keep pace with the SideLiners. Charles and Williams kept the lead from getting too large and with the help of late gamer, Nelson, the SideLiners were able to get a small lead going into Sunday night. During the NFC East match-up, they were able to build the lead even more and the WhiteKnucklers were becoming weary if they would be able to come back Monday night.

After spending a great deal of Monday chatting with another of the leagues owners over what had transpired over Sunday, it was finally time for the first week to end. It started off strong with McCoy coming out the gates racking up yards and scoring a touchdown. The lead was once again shrinking. Morris would score in the third quarter to once again pull the SideLiners to a six point lead. The Eagles had pulled out to a good enough lead they could slow down the offence and curb the production of McCoy. The game was almost over. But as one game ended, another would begin.

"Rivers drops back to pass, looks to his and right, floats a pass to hit Mathews in stride, Mathews grabs the ball with his fingertips and dives into the endzone, TOUCHDOWN MATHEWS!!!"

It is finished.

A week one come from behind win for the WhiteKnucklers.

Could they keep the momentum going in week two against What Are The Chances?

Stay tuned to The Reading Dwayne-Bowes to find out!
