15 Minutes

Well, I was right in my prediction about a trade, I just didn't expect it to occur in the actual NFL, where trades like this hardly ever happen.

15 minutes....that's how much time it took between ESPN first reported Richardson to the Colts and John picking up his eventually replacement in Cleveland McGahee. That's how you end up the Champ.

Winners and Losers

Winner: John

John is the big winner here, as Richardson moves to a much better offense that should provide more opportunities to score. As long as Richardson can pick up the playbook fast (this week might be a tough start) and Bradshaw doesn't take too many touches, it's a good move. McGahee might give John another starting RB with some valuable.

Best of all, because John has pretty much the entire starting lineup of the Colts, it will really help him focus on who to cheer for each week and cement his transformation into a Colts fan. Do they make Luck/Fleener decals?

Loser: Aaron

Aaron loses another starting RB in Bradshaw, pretty much crippling his RB depth. Not a good day for him.

Loser: Dawson

As a Browns fan, Dawson must be pretty disappointed that they are undergoing another rebuild and basically giving up on the season. There were moderate expectations of the Browns going into this season, those can pretty much be thrown out.

Of course maybe this trade works out well and Cleveland can select someone good in the draft. The problem is, they're Cleveland.

  1. While the Colts have become my 2010 Eagle (or this year, I guess, if people didn't reach) darlings, I will never get a fathead of any of them. I think Thank You Hilton will make off like a bandit because of the trade. I love man to man with Hilton being my man.

I picked up Fleener for the same reason.

    I thought Dawson liked Cincinnati?

  2. Really John? Cincinnati? His profile pic is one of Cleveland Brown!

  3. Until Dawson formally declares a favourite, I reserve the right to identify whatever crazy team I want with Dawson. Cleveland, Cincinnati, San Diego...they're all good.

  4. I'm trying to force the better ohio team on him with hopes of taking an "ironic" vacation there to take in a match.
