Whiteknukle Ramblings

This is the time of the year that most people would generally call their shot at being the future league champ but I truly do not believe that I will win the championship this year. The goal will be to finish above everyone who cheers for those blowhards down in San Francisco. The draft won't be hard when 2 guys are fighting between players on San Fran and we see Kapernick get drafted in the first round followed closely by LaMichael James in the second and the San Fran defense in the third. Follow this by seeing kickers getting drafted in the 9th round so managers can fill out their starting roster and seeing the second defense taken being the Buccaneers since Sanchez is having trouble differentiating wide receivers from defensive ends. I expect at least one freshly retired player to be drafted, most likely by myself and I would wager at least a 50% chance that someone drafts Hernandez solely off his numbers from last season. There will also be a good chance that someones entire season will go to shit in the first 2 weeks when their top draft pick tears a ligament. With this also being the first season that Patriots players are being available in the league, it won't be long till we hear chants of Fuck the Patriots turn to We all love the Patriots. Just as I treat Canadian hockey teams like leper colonies in hockey drafts, I will be treating the Patriots the same way. Unless Brady is available in the 16th round, it will be nearly impossible for me not to draft him as he has just enough scruff to love. Plus the guy has a house with a fucking moat! Gattaca!!! I am happy that this year we are finally getting serious and having league fees. It'll be nice to see Dawson in a Cleveland Browns jersey next year (I have no clue who Dawson cheers for), John in a Hartley jersey, Curtis in a Foster, Powell in a Bradford, Keith in Roethlisberger, Shayne in a Lance Easley (ref who called touchdown that lifted the Seahawks over the Fudge Packers on MNF) or Steve in another Riders jersey. The only thing I am more excited for than fantasy football, is Aaron getting belligerent in Seattle.

(My skills are no on par with Johns)

  1. This was good. Only inaccuracies would be the fact I will be wearing a Vaccaro jersey and that it's a sure thing that I'll get it.
